Active Holidays for Young People!
Again this year, Pass’sport Culture 2013, the summer meeting place for young people in Monaco, is able to offer a choice of new activities while keeping the activities that are popular with members.
Depending on their preferences and the amount of free time they have available, adolescents can choose to take part in one-week courses or "discovery activities," from a few hours to a whole day.
Around thirty different activities are offered by the Department of Education, Youth and Sport. Aquatic leisure activities include an introduction to rowing and kayaking by the Nautical Society (Société Nautique), not forgetting Pierre Frolla's Ecole Bleue, which organises courses in scuba diving and snorkelling on four mornings, aquatic excursions, including a descent of the rivers in the Gorges du Loup or Fanghetto in Italy, and for fans of waterskiing, a chance to try jet skiing with the Roca Jet Club.
Other sports are also offered, including fencing and sailing courses, tennis sessions at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, shooting at the Monegasque Shooting Federation (Federation Fédération Monégasque de Tir), bowling, Chinese Boxing and Squash.
Young people also have the opportunity to alternate sports courses with creative activities: creating cartoons, singing, guitar courses and workshops on customising clothing or accessories …
The Pass’Sport Culture also enables them to meet young people from abroad at the Centre Méditerranéen in Cap d’Ail, with whom they can share the experience of a theatre course in English this year.
With the support of local associations and sports clubs, everything is arranged to ensure that young people enjoy fulfilling, active holidays!
